I have a whole handful of projects I would like to accomplish over the next several weeks while I am getting some more stay at home time.
Grandma helped with the first one. A cute board for displaying Minka's artwork. I found this on Pinterest and ran to Michaels to get the supplies. The paint and pipe cleaners I already had so this was turned out to be a cheap but very cute wall hanging.
Minka loves to get ready in the morning with me. She wants to use all the makeup and get her eyelashes done etc. After about 2 foundations dropped and shattered I decided she needed her own make up....but the lip gloss is too sticky and the eyeshadows get all over her face and clothes.
Pinterest to the rescue!
I found some cheap containers (a giant box of assorted make up for $6) and cut out all the eyeshadow, blush and used one of my own emptied containers (per said foundation shatterings above)
I poured in some different colored nail polish with Minka's supervision of course. Poof! Colorful makeup that looks real but wont break and wont run out!
Now one for me. I already make my own laundry detergent which is awesome and a money saver. I now found these little gems on pinterest and decided to give them a try.
They are made of wool yarn and sprinkled with some essential oils (thanks sister!) and they are used as dryer balls! I have not used them yet as they are still in progress, however, it is said they will cut down your drying time by helping float the warm air through the clothes better - all the while scenting the clothes a bit!
I can't wait to give these a try!

what recipe do you use for homemade laundry detergent? i'm curious to try it but don't know which one to try.
Your so creative! I LOVE that artwork holder. It's adorable. I've thought of trying to make my own detergent but I bought one of those stupid HE washers and don't know if I can use it in it or not. Why in the world I bought such a thing I'll never know.
