Reunion

In late February 5 of my girlfriends got together over a weekend.  Minka LOVED playing with another girl.  Addie was very good with her and sharing her toys.

 Minka was excited about all of the activity and did not want to go to bed on time but had fun resting with Lindsy!

 It was great to see everyone again (except Megan...we missed you!) and we plan on getting together again in late March!

Potty Time

Look who's been interested in potty training?  She has been doing well wearing pull ups and telling us she needs to use the potty.  We have our struggles but she is well on her way and hasn't put up much of a fight about it at all!  She is still young so we aren't pushing her too fast but for now she is doing quite well.  I guess you can make a kid do a lot if they get M&Ms!

Naughty

Miss Minka has hit a new phase in life.  She is very actively pushing her limits to find her boundaries.  This includes pulling tricks on Dad and then also on Mom because certainly they don't tell each other things! 

When I was a kid and my sister, brother, and I would push our limits, Mom and Dad enjoyed the "head against the wall" punishment.  I have no idea how long we had to stand with our foreheads against the wall with our hands behind our back and feet a distance away to complete the triangle focusing pressure right on the middle of my forehead but it sure did the trick.

Minka decided one day her crayons belonged on the floor and not in the box.  They certainly needed a good toss around the room and smashing into the carpet.  

We had a thing or two to teach her.

Jareth and Minka have plenty of fun together everyday.  This is what I came home to one day.  What a surprise!

I was writing some notes one day when Minka ran across the room, squeezed her way in under my arm and mimicked everything I was doing.  I love that girly.

Jareth and I took a quiz relating back to the 5 Love Languages book.  This book explains how you express and receive love and the point is to learn about yourself and your spouse to better express your love for each other.  The five love languages are Words of Affirmation, Receiving Gifts, Qualtiy Time, Acts of Service and Physical Touch.  Surprisingly, the results of our quiz were exactly the same!
