Pillows vs. Laundry Basket

I thought I would throw all the pillows around Minka so we could climb and have fun.

Apparently she did not think this was fun.

But of course the laundry basket is AWESOME!

We got some crayons for Minka to see what she would do.  She is too young to understand how to color but we had zero broken crayons and zero crayons in the mouth.  I call this success.

Today is Auntie Jackie's birthday!  Happy Birthday!

Today is Godmom Kayla's bridal shower!  Can't wait for the wedding!
Today is soon-to-be Auntie Aubree's birthday!  Happy 21st!

Today Miss Minka is 8 months old! Where has the time gone?!

Spring is in the air!

An outdoor outing is becoming a daily activity for us.  Minka loves it!

So What Wednesday..

This week I am saying So What...

• if I would like a contest to see who can complete more tasks during an infants nap.  I think I would put up a pretty good fight.
• if I am very happy with my new job, our new home, Jareths upcoming graduation and move to Colorado, all the traveling and visiting with family but boy is it tiring.
• if I am SOO excited to spend the weekend with Mr.M and M&M.  It has been too long.
• if I love learning how to cook some mexican food.
• if I am proud to say I have traveled quite a bit with a lap child and ended every flight, drive, and long day with a happy baby.  Go me!
• if I think about working out all the time and how I would love to have a beach body for the summer but never priortize it in between all the other said activities I am balancing.
• if I really want to visit my sister and her kids but have no idea when that will happen!
• if I am loving this spring weather!

Grandma & Grandpa's

Minka and I were fortunate to have G&G K watch Minka for another entire week!  Thanks to Grandpa, we have lots of pictures to share!

 What are Grandparents good for?  Spoiling.  Minka's first taste of ice cream.  And it wasn't even Dairy Queen.

Airport to Airport

Minka has been on 12 planes so far in her 7 1/2 months.  She does a great job!  I am spoiled!

Here we are having some fun at the airport.  We are the only passengers happy for a delayed flight :)

 We scored an extra seat!  This makes for one happy Momma and a comfy nap for M&M!

 But of course we have our issues.  Ruined luggage or screaming baby?  I'd take ruined luggage any day.



Sick

In early March Minka was congested and I thought I would bring her to the Doctor for the first time and make sure it was nothing too bad and we were able to fly to MN without any problems.  The Doctor told me she had an ear AND sinus infection!!  She hardly even seemed sick...she sure was a trooper!  Jareth and I were not feeling great that week either so we all put on our sick hats and cuddled.  Minka got better very fast and she has been a fantastic traveler ever since!

Minka loves to go for walks!  She looks at everything and does a little dance as we stroll along.  We have even get some giggles on the slide at the nearby park!

Bathtub Fun

In early March Minka was able to start taking baths in the big bathtub and she loved it.  Look at how she has grown in one month!

Across the Country

I had a long weekend off and Jareth and I were able to take a mini vacation from all the long hours, traveling and work!  We enjoyed the beach while M&M enjoyed visiting her Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie, and Uncle in Wyoming!

Sit from Laying

Once M&M found out she could move herself from laying to sitting, she wanted to go right to crawling!  Here she is showing off her new skills.  It is cute to wake up to her sitting and playing in her crib in the morning!

If I wanted to catch you up on all that has been going on I am doing this backwards...  But seeing her crawl is just too darn cute to hold back any longer.  We bribed her with books.  What a nerd :)

Where do I begin?

Well I have been out of the blogging world for awhile and now I have a stack of photos to share!  So much has happened in the last two weeks.  Here is a quick recap:

1. Minka and I are now permanently in Aurora!  Grandma Lisa has been a HUGE help in watching Minka everyday!
2. Miss M&M has learned how to get from laying to sitting, she is holding her own bottle, babbling much more, eating like there is no tomorrow, sleeping about 11 hours at night, and the newest addition is crawling!!
3. Grandma and Grandpa M got to spend about a week with her in Wyoming.
4. Mr. M and I had a mini vacation to Destin FL by ourselves for the first time.
5. And now work has me going back to MN and M&M will be seeing G&G K again for a week!

I couldn't do this without all the love and support from Jareth, the entire Martinez family, and Grandma and Grandpa K.  We are very fortunate and happy!
