Sit. Stay. Good Girl!

M&M has been sitting a lot more!  She still trusts that if she takes a dive backward or decides to rocket blast off to the side that we are there to catch her but she has improved greatly!  She sporadically decides to sit on her own for up to 5 minutes or so!

And no I do not let my baby hang out in her diaper all the time but since she has started eating solids and the Mr. and I aren't that great at keeping those orange and green slimes on her bib- this saves a lot of stain remover :)

These Toes are Delicious!

M&M has found her feet and is currently working on getting them inside of her mouth.  She has done this a few times and once she takes a big lick of her toes she shoots us a look of disgust. They stink horribly, only she gets the pleasure of tasting that wonderful treat. Makes me smile every time!

Games and Dates!

Mr. M has had a bit of a break from the regular academics and flying so we have had time for date nights.  Yes!  That's right!  Dates!  Oh how I have missed them.  We have also had game night with some of our Alabamian friends- none of which are from Alabama!

Practice, Practice, Practice

M&M has been busy practicing.  She is practicing her sitting and standing.  She still needs support with both but has been catching on fast!  She has also started solid food.  She has eaten rice cereal, oatmeal, squash, and the newest addition sweet potatoes.  Next up, carrots!  M&M has also been working on holding her bottle!  We got her a cup with handles and a nipple for the top so she can graduate from a bottle to sippy cup all the while learning how to hold the handles.

So What Wednesday

SO WHAT if...

• I am a road rules/real world challenge fanatic.  I know I know...D-R-A-M-A.  BUT I am loyal and I can't wait for the next season!
• my new love is Coke Zero.  Thank you Melissa!
• Mr. M. scared the ever livin' daylights outta me and I laughed about it for days.  I still giggle thinking of my arms and legs flailing about as I shrieked at the top of my lungs and crumbled to a useless pile of limbs on the ground. 
• I wipe M&M's nose and then rub the boogers on my jeans.  I truly am a Mom.
• I finally got a new hair straightener and was so excited to use it I styled my hair in the kitchen at 10PM.  No need for mirrors.

Wonder Works

While in Panama City, we visited Wonder Works.  This place was SO fun!  They had things for people of all ages to take part in, fun facts, educational games, an arcade, laser tag, a ropes course, simulators, a floor piano you can dance on, and so much more!

Fun, Fun Everywhere

Last weekend we went to Panama City Beach with a few friends.  Minka got extra spoiled sleeping in our bed and having so many friends to play with.

We also attempted to capture her eating rice cereal and squash.  This is the fourth time she has tried eating from a spoon and she has caught on fast!  Yum yum!

Here is what I am saying so what to...

• So what if I haven't taken down our Christmas decorations and it is not on a 'to do' list in the near future.
• So what if I am the biggest fan of my blog.  I check it more than anyone else.  I love to link to other blogs and make sure you are enjoying my posts :)
• So what if getting comments from other bloggers makes me TOTALLY ECSTATIC!  I feel so recognized!
• So what if I am still trying to decide on New Years resolutions.  Don't tell me they don't work.  I once resolved to swear less- mission accomplished- only occasionally does a naughty word slip into my vocabulary.  I also resolved to say God Bless You after sneezes for anyone I was around.  Check.  I still do it all the time to this day.
• So what if my office desk is covered with blogging notes, to do lists, weekend plans, a bucket list, and 'so what Wednesday' info.
• So what if I LOVE Teen Mom and am SO excited for Teen Mom 2!

So What Wednesday

This week I say SO what if...

• the house was a wreck for a week after we got home and I picked out my outfits from the suitcase strewn all over the kitchen floor
• I just ate a whole container of butterfinger ice cream.  DELICIOUS.
• the best mornings are when I stomp out of the house in heels, muffin & coffee in hand, an overfilled purse, lugging Minka in her car seat with a post it of "to dos" stuck to my finger dangling my keys.  And yes, heels are an essential part to the story.
• I lock myself in the only clean room of the house.  Who cares if it is just the bathroom?
• I drive like an old lady.  Not slow, just way up at the steering wheel.  Leaning forward does allow me to see things faster.  Maybe just .00007 seconds faster but still.

4 Month Check Up

We had M&M's 4 month well baby appt last Friday, the 7th, and she is weighing in at 14lbs 10oz and is 26 inches long! The system was down so they could not give us the percentiles.  We know she is still 90% or above for height and somewhere right in the middle for weight.  She is on track from her last appointment and is healthy as can be!  She has gone through a bit of diaper rash, a skin rash, cradle cap, a head cold, and teething and still remains to be a happy happy little girl.  I don't think I know much about being a Mom yet but the Mr. and I must be doing something right to keep seeing those smiles everyday!

New Year, New Look

I have been reading a lot more blogs lately and man was mine B-O-R-I-N-G!  Wow!

So here it is, new and improved.  I decided since Mr. M wouldn't even know I was blogging unless I shoved it in his face from time to time, that he really didn't care what it looked like either.  I use it, so I am going to make it pretty :)

What is with the title?  Well Jareth and Emily was B-O-R-I-N-G! So I thought, what sounds nice and wonderful and fun?  Bubble baths with a glass of wine is ultimate relaxation.  Ahhh...  And shopping!  Fun! I don't like to shop to spend money I like to shop to stomp around in heels and carry around the bags.  Who cares if I only bought lip gloss! 

Why am I calling us Mr. M, Mrs. M, and M &M?  Well, it is just more fun.  I don't get out much these days and our real names are so B-O-R-I-N-G! See a theme here?  This way I get to play while I blog!

You may call all these layouts and names indecisive, I think of it as just a new hat.

Nothing much has changed except for the layout but I may be adding more in the future. We'll see how much the blogging world sucks me in!

Soldier Care Packages- Reply

Today, I received a letter in the mail from Specialist Andres Montero.  This is the gentlemen we sent a care package to before Christmas.  This is what he has to say:

"You don't know how much your package meant! I will use every last item and so will my roommates.  I appreciate everything you do as a whole and in particular the package you sent."

"This is my 1st deployment and its amazing to me how folks like yourself and your family support us.  I never imagined it would be like this."  "...to take time to do something like this for a complete stranger speaks to your dedication and commitment to us.  Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and I wish you the best.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart!!!"

I thought this was incredible he was able and willing to send us a response.  I thought I would share his letter so everyone who donated would be able to see, even if it is small, we are making a difference in someone's deployment and hopefully making their day.

This is what I am saying so what to this week:

So what if I ...

• ate like crazy over the holidays.  That is what they are for!
• completely enjoyed showing off my baby to everyone.  Her little smiles NEVER get old!
• love her giggle and can not get enough of it.  How precious!
• miss my friends and family but am happy to be back home.  It is where the heart is :)
• am already extremely excited for this year.  Minka will experience so much!  Two of my best friends are getting married and we are moving to North Carolina. Who knows what else this year will bring!
