Just a little peace and quiet

When it comes to the evening and Minka wants to watch Blue's Clues for the 5th time or Barney for the 100th time we may or may not pull this little trick....just once in awhile..

Tomboy? I think not

I think I have one of the girliest girls in the world.  I rolled Minka's hair in curlers and then she returned the favor to Monkey.  He sat a little more still than Minka did.

My sister has sent us some awesome hats, dish cloths, flowers and more from DS Designs!  Check out this little cutie modeling the flowers that can attach to the hats in winter or in the hair when the hat it goes to really fits a newborn.

Out.  I am the mother.  I say out now please.  I am over 38 weeks pregnant and am very anxious to meet our newest baby girl.  Until then we have spent some fun days as a family of three and one of those days was to the Mall of America.  We went to see if Minka would like to meet some characters (Patrick, Spongebob and Dora) but she was much more happy to be in Dad's arms at the 'non moveable' Dora statue.


This day we walked and walked and walked until my fingers turned to sausages and my feet ached. But.still.no.baby.

I guess she will decide when to arrive on her own terms.

We spoiled Minka with more "guys" to help coax her to nap. Regardless of what this picture portrays she was very excited about her new additions of Blue and Spongebob.

  

Poof!  It was an exhausting day for all!

M&M's Great Grandpa celebrated his 86th birthday this past month and his 60th wedding anniversary with her Great Grandma.  My Dad was able to catch a couple cute family pics from the evening.

Valentine's Date

Ever since becoming hooked on 'The Voice' I have been following Vicci Martinez a little bit from her debut on season 1.

This past weekend there was a charity event for a local 17 year old with terminal cancer.  His story has exploded over Minneapolis and CNN even had an interview with him.  Check out his song here.

Vicci came to headline the event and Mr. M got us tickets to see the event for Valentine's Day.  She was as great live in person as she was on The Voice and is on the radio.  You can check out an acoustic version of her single here.

Bowling

We went bowling one weekend and shortly after we arrived it was Cosmic Bowling time.  The music and lights made it very fun for Minka!

 At least we could keep an eye out for the neon socks....

This little girl scored some fun dress up attire from Christmas.  She doesn't enjoy it at all...

Kitchen Cabinets

Our kitchen is not large by any means but with the help of a walk in pantry it does just fine for the time being.  The cupboards were fine but needed some new paint so after painting the walls (before it was dark green as seen in one of the pictures below) and the cupboards it looks much more fresh and clean!

Elmo!

Sesame Street Live came to Minneapolis so we took a night out to see Elmo and friends.  Minka was so excited she would tell us only 3 mo days til Elmo....only 2 mo days til Elmo...

About 10 minutes in she turns to us and says ....Minka done watching this show.

With a smoothie and some popcorn she did enjoy the remaining 45 minutes of the show.  It was very cute and she scored a big stuffed animal elmo out of the deal.
