Time is whizzing on by!

You are probably asking yourself how come Emily hasn't been posting lately?  Well I have not prioritized it.  Of course there are always a few extra minutes in everyones day but I just havent felt like coming home from being on a computer for 10 hours to wanting to 'play' on the computer.

Sorry.

But here I am now.

What have you missed?  Well in the life of a nearly eleven month old...you've missed a TON!

First off, we had her 9 month well baby check up (yes almost TWO months ago now) and she was in the 95th percentile for height still.  She is in the 25-50th percentile for weight and in the 50-75 percentile for head size.  She is babbling up a storm and likes to wave, say meow, ooff off (woof woof), and read books.  She eats mostly table food now and loves her new sippy cups with straws.  She also likes to push in her big belly to see her belly button and has 5 teeth.  And most importantly, Minka is WALKING!  She took her first steps on June 30th and has just recently started to try walking more than crawling.  She seems like the tiniest human ever to be walking.  It is SO cute. 

Minka also had her first hospital visit.  After a fun weekend in Minnesota in the heat (yes, heat in MN!) she was getting deyhdrated so after a couple days without wet diapers off to the doctor we went.  She got better fast by restricting her diet to pedialyte but I was a nervous nelly.  She is back to her happy eating and drinking self.

Another huge thing that has happened is Mr. M is here!  HERE! In colorado!  Woohoo!  He packed our stuff by himself, loaded the truck by himself and drove across the country by himself.  He has earned the title Super Husband,  (the move was a breeze for me)  Plus now we have had a week to hang out before he starts work next Monday at Fort Carson.

Life is good.  Just busy.  Stay tuned for more to come.  Sometimes it takes me awhile to post but I always come back eventually right?!
